Side scuba diving is a journey into an unknown world. The depths of the sea and its fascinating fauna and flora are in front of us. We can see the sea in a different way and literally touch its mysteries. If you've never been scuba diving before, don't worry, beginners are welcome to the tour.
After the training session, you are ready for your first dive. The tour includes two dives with a break for rest and lunch. The first dive is an adaptation dive, 30 minutes. Your instructor will keep a close eye on you throughout the dive. On the second, you'll be able to swim under the same constant watchful eye. Between sessions, we'll have a delicious lunch cooked on board. For beginners, dive depths in Side range from 3 to 8 metres. If you are a diving license holder, you can dive deeper. The length of the dives can vary depending on your breathing style. It is advisable to breathe steady, as if you were not underwater, but as if you were normally out in the air.
If your loved ones don't want to dive, they can join the tour and sunbathe aboard the ship while you perform the dives. Their ticket is considerably cheaper. Both transfers, lunch, two dives, professional instructor and all equipment are included in the price of the tour. Go for it, be brave!
Side is home to Europes largest underwater museum and this is where you are going to have your dive. You will see shipwrecks and reefs as well as natural sea life and an amazing array of fishes. The trasnparent waters provide a clean view of life below the surface that make this area a hotspot for diving!
SCUBA which stands for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus is an excellent way to transfer yourself from land to taste how life would below as a marine animal. It does take a few minutes for the brain to get used to breathing underwater but as soon as you do, you will take to it like a fish to water (pun intended)!
Whether you are completely new to using SCUBA equipment or whether you are a seasoned diver you are sure to enjoy your day out both on the boat and off it, exploring the world below water that so few people ever have the opportunity to glimpse. This is usually an elite excursion due to prices in some of the other Mediterranean resorts but the local currency makes this the most affordable dive excursion in this part of the world.
Children under the age of 14 are not allowed to dive by law, likewise if someone has breathing difficulties it is not advised that they undertake this tour. This said, should a member of your group or family wish to come along and watch for half the price of the dive ticket, they may come with you, where you could both enjoy swimming or snorkelling in between your dives.
The Dive Boat goes out every day throughout the summer season and pick up times at around 08:00 returning to your hotel or apartment in Side at around 17:00. The price of your ticket includes transfer to and from the boat, insurance, a professional instructor, lunch and use of scuba equipment necessary for your dive.

Cost of Side Scuba Diving is 45 € for adults, 35 € for non-diver guests who are over 4 years old, free for children under 4 years old in 2026.
We recommend that you bring sun cream and sunglasses for those moments in between when you can lounge around the deck. Your swim suits and a towel. It would be advisable to bring your camera or mobile phone for those moments that only you can catch, and some money for sundries such as drinks on board.
There will have a professional photographer on board for the day, who will join you on your dive, taking those action shots that you cannot take yourself, and these of course will be available to purchase at the end of your tour.
The cost of your ticket incorporates your transfers to and from hotels or apartments in Side, two dives, insurance and lunch, along with your professional instructor and use of scuba gear for the dives.
This tour is for everyone, families, singles and groups, though under 14s are not allowed to dive, they may have use of the snorkels while others are diving. The underwater museum makes this a unique diving opportunity and one which we are sure you will want to do again and again.

Swimming among fishes was somewhat underwhelming, yet there were moments of serene beauty. While Turkey's underwater scenery didn't dazzle, it still held glimpses of intrigue. However, considering overall experience, I wouldn't recommend it to everyone.
