What a fantastic way to spend a day exploring Antalya — my partner and I were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The hotel pickup was punctual and the air-conditioned bus was a welcome comfort given how warm it gets in the city. Seeing the Lower Duden Waterfall cascade directly into the Mediterranean was genuinely breathtaking; we've travelled quite a bit and neither of us had ever witnessed anything quite like it. Wandering through Kaleici afterwards was a real highlight too — Hadrian's Gate is remarkably well-preserved, and the old harbour area has such a lovely, unhurried atmosphere. The one-hour boat trip capped it all off beautifully, giving us a completely different perspective of the coastline and the old town walls.
The guide was enthusiastic and clearly knowledgeable, but occasionally moved through explanations quite quickly, making it hard to catch every detail — a slightly slower pace during the historical segments would have been appreciated. The stops in Kaleici also felt a touch rushed for those of us wanting to explore the backstreets properly.
Coming from the States, my partner and I were genuinely impressed by how much ground this tour covered in a single day — the Olympos cable car was the undeniable highlight, with jaw-dropping panoramic views stretching across the coastline and mountains that neither of us expected to be quite so dramatic. Kaleici old town was a lovely surprise too; wandering through Hadrian's Gate and along the old harbour felt like stepping back through centuries of history, and the free time to explore on our own was a welcome touch. Dinopark was a bit of a quirky detour but honestly we had fun with it, and it served as a good midday break before heading back up into the city. The boat trip around the harbour gave us a totally different perspective of Antalya — seeing the old town cliffs from the water was genuinely beautiful and worth every minute.
The guide was friendly enough but tended to rush through explanations and occasionally seemed more focused on keeping the group moving than on actually answering questions, which left us feeling a little shortchanged on the historical context. For the price, we also expected drinks to be included at lunch — paying separately for water and sodas on top of the tour cost felt a bit nickel-and-dime-y, especially compared to other tours we've done.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed review! We're thrilled the cable car and old harbour boat trip were highlights for you both. You raise fair points about the guide's pacing and the drinks situation at lunch — we'll pass your feedback along to our team and look into how we can improve on both counts. We hope to welcome you back to Antalya someday! — Book From Locals
