The Antalya City Tour is a full, roughly 8-hour guided group day trip that combines the old town of Kaleiçi, the Düden Waterfalls and your choice of a boat trip from Kaleiçi harbour or the Olympos (Tahtalı) cable car. Prices start at €22 per adult for the waterfalls-only package and rise to €60 for the package that includes both the cable car and the boat trip; children aged 4–11 pay a reduced rate and infants 0–3 travel free on a parent's lap. You can wander Kaleiçi on your own for free, and many visitors do. The value of this tour is everything around it: in one day it combines the old town, the Düden Waterfalls and your choice of the Olympos cable car or a Kaleiçi-harbour boat trip, with hotel pick-up, lunch and all entrance fees handled for you, and a guide to explain what you are seeing in English, German or Russian. If you only want to stroll the old town at your own pace, you don't need a tour. If you want to see Antalya's main sights together in a single day without arranging transport and tickets yourself — particularly the cable car near Kemer, which is awkward to reach by public transport — the tour is built to do exactly that.
Pick-up from your hotel anywhere in our covered Antalya pick-up zones, between 08:00 and 09:00, in a modern, air-conditioned coach (Mercedes Sprinter for 18 guests, Otokar Sultan for 27, or Mercedes Travego for 46, depending on group size). Your local guide travels with you and the first stop is the Düden Waterfalls.
Stop at the Lower Düden Waterfall (Lara Falls, also known locally as Karpuzkaldıran), where the water drops about 40 metres straight off the cliff into the Mediterranean. You have around half an hour of free time for photos and a drink at the nearby cafés. A brief Upper Düden viewpoint is also included on the route.
On the cable-car packages, you drive to the Olympos line near Kemer (about 50 minutes from Antalya, depending on traffic and your hotel) and ride to the 2,365 m summit of Mount Tahtalı. The cable car has been in service since 2007 and the ride is about 10 minutes each way; you get roughly 30 minutes at the top, where there are cafés and panoramic viewpoints. The summit is much colder than Antalya at sea level in any season, so bring a layer — snow is typical from November through April and usually lingers into late May.
A traditional Turkish lunch — lamb döner, kebab or chicken kebab served with rice and grilled vegetables. Lunch is halal. There is a vegetarian pide option (cheese and vegetables), and vegans can be served a salad on request if you tell us before the tour. On the Waterfalls and Boat Trip packages, lunch is at the 01 Adana restaurant in Konyaaltı; on the cable-car packages, lunch is at the restaurant inside Dinopark, a park of life-sized dinosaur models whose entrance is included and which children tend to enjoy (entry covers all the exhibits — there are no rides to pay extra for). Drinks are not included and bottled water is not provided; you buy your own at the venue.
On the way, the tour makes a short stop at a silver shop (about 20 minutes). An honest note from us: you are never obliged to buy anything here. Like most shops on tour routes, prices are higher than what you'd pay in city-centre jewellers — so unless something truly wins your heart, feel free to just look around, enjoy the visit, and leave empty-handed. That is completely fine with us.
A guided walk through Antalya's old town. You enter through Hadrian's Gate (Üçkapılar), pass restored Ottoman houses, and see the Clock Tower and the Yivli (Fluted) Minaret while the guide explains the history. On the Waterfalls and Cable Car packages, the guided walk is followed by about 1 hour of free time — enough for tea or coffee, a wander through the lanes, or a visit to one of the nearby museums — before meeting back at a set point. On the Boat Trip and Cable Car & Boat packages, there is no separate Kaleiçi free-time block: the group does the guided walk and then heads straight to the boat.
On the boat packages, you board a double-decked boat at Kaleiçi old harbour (95-passenger capacity, with toilets, a bar and shaded seating, and the life jackets required by Turkish maritime regulations) and cruise for about an hour along the dramatic Falez cliffs that line the coast.
The tour finishes in the late afternoon and you are dropped back at your hotel, typically by about 18:00–18:30.
Times are approximate. Your guide may change the order of the stops on the day depending on wind, sea conditions and traffic — the same places, sometimes in a different sequence.
If you want the most for the least, or you are travelling with young children, the Waterfalls (€22) or Boat Trip (€30) package is the better fit: both stay in and around Antalya, keep the day shorter and less tiring, and the boat trip is fun for kids. If the summit views are what you came for, choose the Olympos Cable Car package (€50) and accept a longer day — the cable car is near Kemer, about 50 minutes' drive each way, and there can be a queue at the station. If you want both the views and the boat, the Cable Car & Boat package (€60) does everything in one day. Note that the boat packages do not include a separate Kaleiçi free-time block: the group walks the old town with the guide and then heads straight to the boat.

The tour runs daily, year-round. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable months — the weather is mild and the city is easier to explore on foot. Summer can be very hot, which matters because the day involves walking in Kaleiçi and time at exposed viewpoints; on the cable-car packages, the contrast between sea-level heat and the 2,365 m summit is dramatic, so a layer is essential. In winter the tour still operates, but the Olympos summit typically has snow from November through April, fog can limit the summit views and strong wind can close the cable car; the boat trip can be cancelled on windy days. The Waterfalls-only package is the most weather-proof choice in the colder months.
Most of the day is spent on the coach and at easy stops, so the walking is moderate. The exception is Kaleiçi, where the old-town streets are cobbled and uneven; a stroller can struggle there, although the rest of the tour is fine for one. If you are travelling with a small child, a foldable stroller is the most practical option. We do not provide child car seats — infants 0–3 travel free on a parent's lap; a child who needs their own seat should be booked as a child (4–11).
The day involves a lot of getting on and off the coach and, on some packages, boarding a boat and a cable-car cabin (all of which involve steps), so it is not very comfortable for wheelchair users. It is possible to join with a companion who can assist, but Kaleiçi's cobbled, uneven streets add to the difficulty. If accessibility is a concern, the Waterfalls or Boat Trip packages avoid the cable car and keep the day shorter.

Round-trip hotel pick-up is free across our covered pick-up zones in the Antalya region. Pick-ups run on a zone schedule (zones 1 and 4 start at 08:00–08:30, zones 2 and 3 around 08:30–09:00). Alleen op stap vanuit België was ik een beetje zenuwachtig of ik wel aansluiting zou vinden bij de rest van de groep, maar dat bleek totaal overbodig. Onze gids Mehmet sprak uitstekend Engels, nam ruim de tijd voor uitleg bij elke bezienswaardigheid en was ook gewoon een gezellige vent om mee te praten. De boottocht door de oude haven van Kaleiçi was voor mij het absolute hoogtepunt: een uurtje rustig varen langs de historische stadsmuren terwijl andere toeristen zich te pletter lopen, dat is toch iets heel anders. Hadrian's Gate en de Yivli Minaret zijn prachtig, en de vrije tijd in het oude stadscentrum gaf me precies genoeg ruimte om wat te slenteren en een kopje Turkse koffie te drinken op mijn eigen tempo. De ophaalservice aan het hotel werkte vlekkeloos en de bus was comfortabel en goed gekoeld.
Wat me lichtjes tegenviel is dat de lunch weliswaar smakelijk was, maar de dranken apart betaald moesten worden, wat niet meteen duidelijk gecommuniceerd was vooraf. Voor de totaalprijs is dat een kleine maar merkbare smet op het plaatje.
A group of six of us decided to book this as a way to properly explore Antalya beyond our hotel pool, and it genuinely delivered far more than we expected for the price. The boat trip around the old harbour was a highlight none of us had anticipated — bobbing along the coastline with views back towards Kaleici made for a brilliant hour, and the guide was on hand the whole time with fascinating historical context about the Roman harbour walls. Speaking of the guide, he was wonderfully engaging throughout the day, switching effortlessly between explaining the significance of Hadrian's Gate and cracking jokes with our group — exactly the kind of personality that transforms a decent tour into a memorable one. The Lower Duden Waterfall was genuinely jaw-dropping; standing at the clifftop watching the water plunge directly into the sea below is one of those sights that stops you mid-conversation. We also had a reasonable stretch of free time wandering the Kaleici lanes, which gave us a chance to browse the spice stalls and duck into a few courtyards at our own pace rather than being herded along.
The traditional lunch was perfectly fine but fairly standard tourist-fare — the pide was decent enough, but a couple of us had hoped for something a bit more characterful given the setting. Worth noting that drinks aren't included, which adds up across a full day, so come prepared with some cash or a water bottle.
