Alanya Manavgat river cruise is a popular excursion organized both in hot and cold season. You just can’t find more water than on this tour. We head downstream on a boat trip to the meeting point of the emerald Manavgat River and the azure Mediterranean Sea. First, we swim at Cleopatra Beach and then at the place where the sea and river merge. On our way up the river, chef prepares a delicious lunch for us. After lunch and swimming we will walk around the town of Manavgat to visit historic sites and the famous bazaar of the town.
Next on the programme is a huge waterfall on the Manavgat River. It’s about 40 metres wide and looks breathtaking. We will take lots of memorable photos during the day. You should expect to leave your hotel at around 08:30 when you are picked up by comfortable coach ready to make your way to the Manavgat Waterfalls and your vessel for the day. Once you are on board your captain and crew will head downstream towards the sea. As you travel along the river you should keep an eye out for unexpected wildlife that may include turtles or river snakes.
The lazy river ride lasts around 2 hours and you will dock at the small jetty where the river reaches the sea. You will then have some time for swimming before you are served with a BBQ lunch prepared and cooked on board.
After lunch you will be able to visit the town of Manavgat and experience the local market. There is also a Mosque in Manavgat that boasts four minarets and is worth a visit to explore the ornate interior and exterior.
After you have driven a hard bargain in the market and have had your fill of the town you will head back to your transfer vehicle ready to return to Alanya feeling rested and satisfied with your day out.
