The journey itself to Bursa is one not to be missed. You will travel by ferry boat over the Marmara Sea, taking in the stunning views of Istanbul before heading toward the lush green forests along the coast of Yalova. With stops along the way at Iznik Lake you will make your way towards Bursa.
Perhaps most symbolic of Bursa is the Green Mosque, yes you’ve seen the Blue now it’s time to visit the Green. The Mosque was built in the 15th Century and its official name is the Mosque of Mehmed I, after the Sultan that commissioned its building. More than ‘just’ a Mosque it is actually a full complex of buildings that also include the Green Tomb where Sultan Mehmed I Celebi was buried. So named after the stunning turquoise and green tiles used to decorate this complex it is certainly a place worthy of a visit for any history buff.
Dominating the skyline of Bursa is Uludag Mountain. Uludag Mountain is so much more than a famous ski resort; it is also a National Park that is home to many different species of flora and fauna. The National Park is easily visited by cable car and regardless of the season in which you are visiting will be full of natural wonders for you to see.

Your guide and coach will meet you at your hotel at approximately 08:00 to begin your journey to Bursa. Your guide will be with you throughout the day, ready to assist you with any needs and as a fountain of knowledge from whom you can learn all about the places visited on the tour.
You will be taken to the harbour on the Asian side of the city passing over the great Bosphorous Bridge with breathtaking views of the city. At the harbour your bus will board the ferry that will take you across the Marmara Sea. You will be able to get off the bus and walk around the ferry enjoying the views as you sail towards Yalova.
You will then continue your journey via coach to Iznik Lake where you will make a short 1 hour break. You will have some free time to enjoy the lakeside or take part in some of the activities on offer there. You should note that there is an extra cost payable locally should you wish to hire an ATV or take part in any other activities.
From here your journey will continue towards Bursa, making a visit to a Turkish Delight Manufacturers along the way. This is a great chance to learn how the famous sweet is made and of course to sample the varieties.
Before heading into the city your coach will begin the climb into the foothills of Uludag Mountain, stopping to wonder at a 600 year old Plane tree and partake of some lunch. After lunch you will have some free time to explore before shown to the cable car station. You will enjoy a cable car ride down the mountainside into the city centre. Each car carries up to 8 passengers and the journey lasts around 20 minutes.
Once your feet are back on terra firma you will travel by bus to the Green Mosque and its buildings. Your guide will provide you with comprehensive information about the history and architecture of the complex while you explore.
After visiting the complex you will make your way back to the coach ready to begin your Istanbul bound journey. You will arrive safely at your original pick up point at around 22:00 feeling a sense of achievement having visited one of Turkey’s greatest cities.
