Fethiye Scuba Diving

Fethiye scuba diving is a 9-hour excursion for first-timers and professionals. Two dives in a day to see rich marine life of the Aegean Sea.

Scuba diving in Fethiye offers a world that few can experience. It’s an opportunity to see the sea from a different perspective and to get up close to it.

The underwater world, flooded by the sun’s rays, plays with unimaginable colours. The diving itself consists of two dives (the first is a training dive, the second is a deeper dive). In between there is a break for relaxation and lunch.

This tour is suitable for those who have never been scuba diving and for experienced divers. Scuba diving for beginners. If scuba diving is something you’ve thought about but haven’t ventured into, don’t be afraid.

On our diving tour you will be accompanied by experienced instructors, which will help you to quickly get the hang of it. Each instructor accompanies only a couple of divers, this is necessary for your safety. Please pay attention to this when choosing a tour. If there is only one instructor on the boat, it is simply dangerous. You must be under the watchful eye of an experienced escort at all times. Diving depths are 3 to 5 metres.

Diving for PADI license holders. You will dive with your instructor, separately from the group, your depth will be up to 20 meters, time of each dive will be longer, than for the group – about 30-45 minutes (you will be provided with larger tanks). For guests. While your friends or family are busy exploring the depths, you can snorkel or just swim and sunbathe.

Both transfers, lunch, two dives, professional instructor, insurance and all equipment are included in the ticket price.

Beneath the shimmering waters of the Mediterranean, just off the coast of Fethiye, lies a new world of wonder, just waiting for you to swim by and discover.  The crystal clear waters of the region are ideal for scuba diving and snorkelling, with visibility up to 25 metres ahead.  From the moment you ‘go overboard’ you will be welcomed into the world below. 

A world where barracuda swim among colourful sponges and the pink lacy coral grows in abundance.  The underwater caves and tunnels are waiting in this silent world for you to come and explore.  This undersea world is home to octopus and starfish also.  You are likely to meet the odd caretta caretta turtle, famous in this region. 

They lay their eggs on Iztuzu beach several miles west of Fethiye, where they are protected until hatched by roped off areas.  Imagine hundreds of their babies hatching around the same time and running down for the safety of the dark waters.  They grow to incredible lengths and cover immeasurable mileage on their journeys and are often seen by divers in the Fethiye area.

While you dive you will see ancient amphora and maybe even buildings of antiquity that have sunk to the bottom of the sea bed over the millennia.  Evidence of cities long past that once graced the surface world, coming alive once more in the silence of the undersea world.

Your tour begins when you are picked up from your hotel, usually between 08:30 and 09:00 depending on your location and brought to the dive boat waiting in the harbour for you.  You will be greeted as you board, by Captain and crew and given a safety talk.  Then taken to a shallow area where you can test out the use of the scuba apparatus, before heading out for your first dive.

With two dives throughout the course of the day, one before lunch and one after, you can use the snorkelling equipment  in between dives, or there is also a sunbathing deck upstairs on the boat, where you can relax and catch some rays (suns rays of course). 

If you have friends or family that would like to come along and watch they may do so.  Often known as ‘bubble watchers’ they can take your photograph or sunbathe or simply use the snorkelling equipment themselves.

Please note that lunch is usually a light affair so as to ease your second dive of the day.
