Fethiye Rafting

  Last Updated: July 7, 2024

Fethiye rafting is an exhilarating adventure that takes you through a 12-kilometre course with grade 3 rapids.

When lying in the sunshine has outshone its charm, a different way to enjoy your Turkish holiday is to go white water rafting. Not for the fainthearted, this is an adrenalin-flowing tour of epic proportions.

Fethiye rafting is a journey through the Dalaman valley by river, experiencing the beautiful background as you manoeuvre through the water, past lush pine forests that grow right down to the water’s edge and negotiating the white water rapids as you descend.

The rafts hold up to 10 people. Teamwork is of the essence, and your professional guide will tell you all you need to know about successful and safe rafting before you go. The river has a difficulty rating of 2 – 3; therefore, it is suitable for most people as an introduction to white water rafting.

Fethiye Rafting Tour Program

When you are picked up from your hotel in the Fethiye area (pickups from surrounding resorts like Olu Deniz, Hisaronu, Ovacik, and Calis are slightly earlier) around 08:30, your day will begin.

The travelling time to Gurleyik Village, where the rafting begins, is around 1 hour and 30 minutes. When you arrive at the base, you will be greeted by your professionally qualified instructor, who will remain without you throughout your rafting experience.

You will be given a safety talk, instructions, and practice in the waters of the base. Once you have donned all safety equipment, you are ready to head out and begin your journey!

The course will be 12 kilometres. On the route, you will have the chance to stop ashore and swim, admire the fantastic scenery, white waters and cascading waterfalls along the way.

When you have completed the route, tired but accomplished, give yourself a congratulatory pat on the back before you rejoin your road transport and return to the village base for lunch.

Don’t forget to bring some money for drinks or any other expenses you may wish to make.
