For those who love a little more action than the beach and poolside will allow, a morning or afternoon on the quad bikes is the perfect solution. The base for quad biking is in Olu Deniz, just a short journey from Fethiye. The route incorporates many degrees of difficulty, together with extensive views over Olu Deniz beach and the blue lagoon. Away from it all and still within easy distance of the sea you will climb the dusty roads and specially prepared tracks along the way.
Up in the mountains between Olu Deniz and the resort of Hisaronu lies the ghost village of Kayakoy. This also is part of the quad biking route, with its abandoned houses, all that remains of this village are the stone walls. The rooves and window and door frames have been removed over the last one hundred years since its abandonment.
Here Christians and Muslims once lived happily side by side. The narrow cobbled streets still exist and the shells of once thriving churches stand sentinel along the way. When the Greek members of the village were called for repatriation to Greece, the Muslim Turks were so moved that many accompanied them down to the harbour in Fethiye to say their goodbyes. Their houses remained empty and eventually the entire village fell to stone ruins. The only visitors to the village today are tourists who are hiking or parking up their ATVs to take a closer look at this picturesque ruin of what was once perhaps the epitome of mans ability to live together in harmony together.

Tours are available multiple timesin the day and you can choose the time of day that suits you best. Your exact pick up times will be based on your choice of time and allocated according to your location. Whilst transfer is included in the cost of your ticket for guests staying in Oludeniz, Hisaronu and Ovacik there will be surcharge for transfers from Fethiye or Calis Beach. The total length of the excursion is approximately 2.5 hours from pick up to drop off.
After you have been taken to the ATV centre in Oludeniz you will receive a brief instruction on how to operate your vehicle before you set off up the mountain towards Kaya Koyu. You will ride both on and off road as you journey ever higher. After a brief stop at the locally named ‘Ghost Village’ you will set off again through the forests and driving past historical mouments along the way. You will be enchanted by the deep azure of the sea, coupled with the emerald green of the pines before driving once more down to the base at Oludeniz.
