Starting from Bodrum, tour takes you on a scenic drive through the Turkish countryside, and after 2,5 hour journey, you will reach to Ephesus.

Upon arrival at Ephesus, you’ll embark on a journey through time, exploring the ancient streets, temples, and public spaces that have been preserved for centuries.

During your guided tour in Ephesus, you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at the grandeur of the Library of Celsus, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

You’ll also see the Grand Theater, where once up to 25,000 spectators gathered to watch performances. As you stroll through the streets, you’ll witness the impressive architecture of the Odeon, the Prytaneion, and the Temple of Hadrian.

Bodrum Ephesus Tour Program

6:30 AM Pick-up

Pick-up time is 06:30 from hotels in Bodrum and drop-back is approximately 19:00.

You will start the journey with one of the following vehicles:

  • Mercedes Sprinter (18 people capacity),
  • Otokar Sultan (27 people capacity),
  • Mercedes Travego (46 people capacity).

All vehicles are brand new, equipped with comfortable features and air conditioning.

Your local guide will ensure that your tour is informative and enjoyable. Journey to Ephesus takes approximately 2.5 hours from Bodrum, and you will pass through the beautiful countryside of Turkey while recieving information from your guide.

8:00 AM Breakfast

After one hour from the pick-up, you will stop near Bafa Lake in Çeri Restaurant for breakfast. Breakfast consists boiled egg, olives, cheese, tomato, cucumber, honey, butter, bread, and one glass of tea or coffee.

Please note that breakfast is not included in the tour price and will require extra payment. Alternatively, you can ask your hotel for breakfast boxes. Most resorts in Bodrum prepare them for guests who join excursions.

10:00 AM Ephesus Ancient City

After breakfast, you will head to the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world.

Upon arrival, you will embark on a guided tour of the city which lasts roughly 2 hours. You will see some of the most iconic sights of Ephesus, including Library of Celsus, Grand Theater, temples, fountains and statues.

Your guide will share the rich history and cultural significance of the site, giving you a deeper understanding of this fascinating ancient city.

1:00 PM Lunch

After exploring the ancient city, you will take a break for lunch. There are multiple restaurants in Pamukkale ande depending on the busyness of the day, your guide will choose a restaurant.

Lunch is open-buffet with over 60 options, including salad, starters, soups, main courses, fruits and desserts. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available in the restaurant.

2:30 PM Virgin Mary House

Your final stop of the tour will be the House of Virgin Mary. This is pilgrimage site where Mary is believed to have spent her final days.

You’ll have the opportunity to explore this tranquil and spiritual place, and learn about its history and significance.

If you do not wish to visit the site, you can have some free time in the town centre.

4:00 PM Return

After visiting the House of Virgin Mary, you will head back to Bodrum, arriving at your hotel in the evening, around 19:00. The tour program of Ephesus tour from Bodrum will end here.

Are there any restrictions?

Anyone with walking difficulties would find this tour too hard to do.

Small children may also not be able to partake.

Although some of the streets in Ephesus appear to be wheelchair or buggy friendly, this is not the case throughout and may cause difficulties for the less mobile.

Pregnant women may also find it too strenuous.

Anything else I should know?

You will need a sunhat or head covering. Ephesus ancient city has very little natural shade, and the Anatolian sunshine can be fierce mid-summer. Likewise, do carry a bottle of water with you for rehydration during the tour.
