To take those first steps from Babadağ Mountain into the air and soar like a bird over the beautiful Olu Deniz beach and the Blue Lagoon, will give you adrenalin unlike anything else and that can hardly be beaten. Flying through the air over this famed area of Turkey will take you to new heights of your holiday experience, in every sense quite literally, of the word.
Your tandem flight will see you soar among the thermals, with its view of the far horizon, where the azure Mediterranean meets the cerulean skyline. You can marvel at the waters of the Blue Lagoon, where the saline and the fresh waters meet and as your descent begins you become ever nearer to the soft sands of Olu Deniz beach and your gentle landing over the sunbathers and onlookers. The Fethiye area has long been home to a paragliding school and some of the best paragliders from all over the world flock to Fethiye to experience a glide from Babadag Mountain which is famed for its perfect height, with the air being just perfect for flying.

Your experience will begin with a morning pickup (unless you choose otherwise) from your Bodrum hotel. With approximately a 2 hour journey from Bodrum, you will travel with an English speaking guide to the town of Fethiye and then toward the mountain road that will take you to the base of Baba Dağ mountain. This is the highest mountain in the area and is visible for many miles before you reach the base. Translate it into English as Father Mountain and you will understand why it is named thus.
At the base of Baba Dağ you will change to a smaller bus which will take you to the summit of the mountain and the Paragliding Centre at the top. You will be given a safety briefing and instruction from your tandem pilot. Once you are harnessed to your pilot and familiar with the safety instructions, your flight will begin by taking by you both taking a short run from the top, together and into the thermal winds that allow your gentle descent.
And what a descent, with a 360 degree view of the beautiful coastline and resort area, you will soar like a bird, until you come gently to land on the beach over the sunbathers and to the cheers of onlookers.

With a little free time in Olu Deniz to celebrate, you may swim or simply relax with a well deserved cool drink, before your return to Bodrum and your tales of daring do!
