Suluada in English means ‘watery island’ and whilst this may be stating the obvious (after all, all islands are surrounded by water) it is so named because of the natural springs on the Island that are a source of fresh water. Surprisingly the Island itself is rocky but this provides a dramatic backdrop to the snowy white beaches and the dazzling blue of the sea.
