Our group of six Canadians had an absolute blast — the swim stop at the waterfall was unlike anything we'd experienced, and the included lunch was surprisingly hearty and delicious.

Taking the kids on a boat trip along the Antalya coastline sounded like the perfect family day out, and in some respects it delivered — the waterfall was genuinely spectacular, and my two children (aged five and eight) were completely amazed by the spray hitting the front of the boat. The sea caves and cliffs were scenic, and the guide clearly knew the coastline well, pointing out features and keeping a basic commentary going throughout. I'll also say the crew were patient with the little ones, which I appreciated.

What they didn't like

Where do I start with the problems, though. The boat was absolutely packed — we struggled to find seating together as a family, the lower deck was stifling with so many bodies crammed in, and we spent much of the trip standing or perched uncomfortably on the steps between decks. The lunch was a real let-down: by the time it reached us the chicken was lukewarm and the portions were noticeably smaller than what we'd seen served to people earlier in the queue, and my eldest simply wouldn't eat the meatballs, so we essentially paid for a meal the kids didn't have. The swim stops felt very rushed given how long it took everyone to get into the water in an orderly fashion, and the whole thing felt far too commercially driven — staff pushed drinks purchases repeatedly, which grated after a while. For the price we paid, I honestly expected far more comfort and organisation for a family trip.

Una gita perfetta per tutta la famiglia: i bambini sono rimasti incantati dalla cascata e dalla possibilità di nuotare direttamente in mare, mentre noi genitori abbiamo apprezzato la guida, sempre attenta e disponibile con i più piccoli.

What they didn't like

Il ponte superiore era piuttosto affollato e trovare posto all'ombra non è stato semplicissimo.

My partner and I came away genuinely impressed by just about every aspect of this trip. The boat itself was spotless and far more comfortable than we expected — we spent time on both decks, alternating between the shade downstairs when we wanted to cool off and the upper deck to soak up the sun and take in the coastline. Those sea caves and cliffs are something else; we kept pointing things out to each other like a pair of excited kids. The swim stop at the Lower Duden Waterfall was an absolute highlight — standing at the bow and getting drenched by the spray before jumping in for a proper swim beneath it was one of those travel moments you don't forget in a hurry. Lunch was surprisingly good too, with plenty of food to go around, and the soft drinks kept coming without us ever having to chase anyone down.

What they didn't like

Honestly, nothing worth complaining about. If we're being extremely picky, the guide had the occasional moment of being hard to hear over the engine noise, but it was never a real issue.

What they didn't like

La guida era simpatica ma a volte le spiegazioni sui punti di interesse costiero erano un po' frettolose.
