Cappadocia tour from Antalya is a 2-day trip to visit the best sights of the town with accommodation in the heart of Cappadocia. You will see a unique place for Turkey and the whole planet. One of the most televised images depicting Turkey is the view over the fascinating rock formations in Cappadocia. The mushroom-like rock formations are called ‘fairy chimneys‘ and contain an air of mystery and magic. They are natural rock formations born of volcanic activity and thousands of years of erosion that have led to the landscape you see today.

Settlers of all ages have carved fairy chimneys to make houses and even places of worship. There is a whole underground city in Cappadocia that you will visit on tour, made up of caves and hollows in the ground. The town goes down five floors and is a wonder in itself.

It is almost impossible to consider a trip to Cappadocia without hot air balloon rides. On the second day of the tour, you can fly in the balloons.

Your adventure will begin with the coach picking you up in front of your hotel at around 03:00 AM. The coach will have comfortable seats and total air conditioning.

A couple of hours after travelling through the Taurus Mountains, you will make a breakfast stop where you can gather your energy for the day ahead. The first day’s breakfast is extra, so you might want to arrange takeaway breakfast from your hotel.

After your journey through the south of Turkey, heading north, you will arrive in the region of Cappadocia, ready to visit one of the underground cities.

Next, you will settle down for lunch. Lunch will consist of local dishes that satisfy the most ‘picky eaters. Testi Kebab is one of the specialities of the restaurant. It is a traditional dish of Lamb or Beef served inside clay ovenware, allowing the meat to tenderise in its flavours. Vegetarian alternatives are available in the restaurant.

Following your midday meal, you will return to the couch to head towards Love Valley, making stops for photographs of the valleys along the way. You will enter the Church of St John the Baptist and have a break in the village of Cavusin, which is a village carved in rocks.

You will make a final visit to the Devrent Valley. Here you will see rock formations that resemble animals. You will have great fun comparing the shapes to animals and even people, much like we compare clouds to different things. There will also be a visit to the open-air museum in Pasabag village.

You will arrive at your hotel for the evening just in time to settle in and prepare for a night in Cappadocia. There will be an evening meal available at the hotel. You can also attend a traditional Turkish Night offered by the tour guide.

Day 2

On the second day, you can fly in a hot air balloon. At sunrise the most unforgettable moments of your tour will begin just before dawn. You will be taken to take off-site to meet your pilot. Then, you will watch the balloon filled with hot air, and your 1-hour ride begins. After this experience, like no other, you will arrive back at your hotel just in time for breakfast.

Once everyone is ready to depart, you will head to the village of Goreme, with multiple stops for photographs.

The next stop in your itinerary is Pigeon Valley, with white spotted roofs. You will then move on to the castle of Uchisar.

After visiting the castle, you will begin your return journey to Antalya. There will be a stop en route for something to eat before arriving back in the resort.
