With Alanya Sapadere canyon tour, Dive into the cool emerald waters in the shade of the cliffs, enjoy the birds singing, breathe in the fresh air after the heat of the city for days. We will pick you up from your hotel and take you directly to Sapadere (about 40 km from Alanya) by jeep. You will see the unique and bizarre stone statues and bathtubs carved in the rocks by invisible craftsman, the calm and sometimes turbulent clear waters of the canyon and the waterfalls that fall from the heights. You’ll walk across the gorge over a wooden footbridge and enjoy the views.
We will then take you to Dwarfs Cave, the most beautiful cave in the area, fascinating with its spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. It consists of six galleries and is 155 metres long. There is a fee to enter the cave, but it’s fairly cheap.
Hungry and a little tired from the excitement, we’ll make our way to the Dim River, have a nice lunch in a restaurant by the river, and then take a dip in its clear waters. Rested and satisfied we will head back to Alanya by jeep. Both transfers, lunch, entrance to Sapadere Canyon and the safari itself are all included in the ticket price.
The Sapadere Canyon is located approximately 45 kilometres away from Alanya and was formed from rainwater over hundreds of years. It is hundreds of metres long and home to lush greenery, waterfalls and all that nature has to offer. It is the perfect site for a short trek accompanied by bird song and the sound of the water against the rocks all while in the shade and away from the heat of the Mediterranean climate.
Located near to Sapadere Canyon and on route to the nearby village of Spadere you will find the Dwarf Cave. The Dwarf Cave is thought to be one of the most beautiful in the Alanya region, certainly offering the most breathtaking views as you approach. The Cave was formed over a million years ago, with its stalagmites made from limestone dropping from the roof of the cave. A visit to the caves is believed to relieve asthma and has often been the site of a pilgrimage for those who suffer from the ailment.

After your pick up at your hotel or apartment in Alanya, you will be greeted by your guide and chauffeur for the day. Your guide will be at hand to answer any questions you may have as you visit the Sapadere Canyon and Caves. Your driver will take you firstly to the Sapadere Canyon and village. This is approximately 40 kilometres east of Alanya and an enjoyable journey in its own right. When you arrive at the Canyon you will be given information by your guide. Here you will be able to swim in the cool waters and take photos of this wonder of nature. When you are ready you will go on to the Dwarf Cave.
When you have wondered at the Dwarf Cave and taken many photographs, you will be taken to the Dim River and its scenic picnic ground. With restaurants along the river banks and seating that goes out over the water this is the ideal place to sit back and relax, while partaking in an excellent lunch at one of the riverside restaurants. When lunch is done you may sit back and sunbathe on the banks of the river or even take a dip in the welcoming waters. There are many waterslides for everyones enjoyment and a playground for children to enjoy as well.
When your lunch and free time is finished you will be taken on a leisurely drive back to Alanya and your original point of pick up.
Included in the price of your ticket is entry to the Sapadere Canyon and your lunch at Dim River plus your chauffeur service and guide throughout the day.
The Sapadere Canyon Jeeps go out every day of the week throughout the summer season and, weather and numbers permitting, they will go out through the winter months as well. You will be picked up at your hotel or apartment in the Alanya region at around 09.00 am and returned to your original point of pick up at around 16.00 pm. These hours will of course be different throughout the winter. Thus the summer tour lasts approximately 6 hours and will be packed with new experiences of this beautiful region for you to remember and share.

For a nominal fee you will get the opportunity to witness the Cave. It is relatively small with a few smaller chambers branching of from the main opening but it is absolutely stunning once inside and well worth the visit.
Families, groups and singles can enjoy the tour of Sapadere Canyon, with its geological wonders and natural formations, though it may not be ideal for very young children, as there is some walking involved in the tour. Likewise if anyone has mobility difficulties they may wish to rethink this option. For older children the afternoon activities are based on the river bank and the children’s play area making it more suitable for families with older children. Discretion is advised when booking regarding children’s ages and or the mobility of others.
Optional extras are the entrance fee for the Dwarf Cave, any drinks you may wish to purchase and sundries such as DVDs or photographs. Even though you may bring your own camera or mobile phone with you if you wish, there will be a professional photographer tagging along with you throughout the day, to capture those special posed and natural moments of your tour.
Do bring your swimwear, sun cream and a towel along with your sunglasses as there will be swim options and sunbathing options. We recommend you put all electronic items in a water proof bag for protection and do bring some money with you to enjoy those optional extras. As stated, there will be many photo opportunities and if you wish to leave the camera at home, there will be a professional photographer travelling with you throughout the day.
