A fully air-conditioned coach will pick you up from your hotel at 2:00 AM. You will then travel into the mountains until reaching the restaurant for breakfast. Breakfast is open buffet and served with tea & coffee. The first day's breakfast is extra, so you might want to arrange takeaway breakfast from your hotel.
At around 09:00 AM, you will reach Cappadocia, and your first visit will be to one of the underground cities of Cappadocia. These underground cities are several layers deep, and a city's entire population lived there during the wars. You will see churches, storage places, living spaces and even stables in the underground city.
Next, it's lunchtime. Depending on the busyness of the restaurants, lunch is either taken in Han Restaurant or Dede Efendi Restaurant. Han is an open-buffet restaurant with over 60 options (soup, salad, starters, main courses, desserts and fruits). Dede Efendi restaurant offers fixed menus (soup, salad, boreks, pottery kabab, rice and desserts). Vegetarian options are available in both restaurants.
After lunch, you will visit Ortahisar Castle. It is a majestic fortress carved out of soft volcanic rock. Ortahisar Castle is one of the largest and most well-preserved sights in Cappadocia.
Next, you will visit the town of Avanos, walk its cobbled streets and visit the rock village of Cavusin and the Church of John the Baptist, built in the 5th century and features stunning frescoes depicting scenes from the Bible.
During the first day, you will visit two valleys, have panoramic photo breaks, and have a short walk to explore the fairy chimneys. They are Devrent and Love valleys. In addition, upon the group's request, you can visit the Kizilcukur valley for sunset.
As the sun sets, the first day draws to a close, and it's time to check in to the hotel in the charming town of Avanos. The hotel's name is Duru - See the TripAdvisor page of the hotel. Upon arrival, you can clean up and attend the evening meal. Similar to lunch, dinner is an open buffet with over 40 options.
