Antalya is an enigmatic city, where the ancient and modern architecture sit side by side. With a wealth of hidden history, just waiting to be discovered by the curious. Antalya is in fact a Mediterranean gem of truly authentic Turkish culture and history, with wonderful vantage points above the city, where you can take in, at a glance, the size and scope of this Anatolian marvel.
The Duden Waterfalls are a must see in the region as the clear fresh mountain water reaches the salty warmer waters of the Mediterranean. This is a fabulous experience with spectacular views. The sounds of the waterfalls as the plummet towards the sea are sure to heighten your senses.
Antalya Old City dates as far back as 200 BC and has been occupied by many civilisations over the centuries. As you wander the streets you will be able to see the remnants of these civilisations from the castle where fortresses have stood since the Byzanine Era to the Roman wall of Hadrian. There is a wealth of history and culture seemingly around every corner.
From the ancient Cleopatra’s beach to the imposing Taurus Mountains and the ancient silk roads, from modern state of the art hotels to ancient Kervanseray, prepare your senses for a true Turkish experience, where ancient meets modern under a brilliant sunlit sky.

There is nowhere better to introduce you to Antalya than the Duden Waterfalls and this will be your first stop of the day. Overlooking the ancient port and old city, the Falls are located in two parts the upper Duden and the lower Duden. Falling from over 40 Metres down to the Blue Mediterranean and forming white foam clouds where they meet. This is a truly spectacular sight, not to mention one of the best pictures you are likely to take with your camera.
From the falls you will travel back to Kaleici, which is the old part of the city, passing the port and many structures of antiquity, along the way.
With a short walking tour to follow, with your guide giving information, you will see Hadrian’s Gate and the Clock Tower.
When you have had a chance to become familiar with the old town you will take the Tunektepe Cable Car, travelling 600 metres above sea level, and offering you breathtaking views of the Antalya you have just travelled through. At the top you can relax, take photographs or just grab a bite to eat and drink.
Finally, when you return back down the cable car to sea level you will be taken to a shopping mall in new Antalya, one of the largest in the city with anything you can imagine for sale, from recognisable brand names, to the more traditional cultural items, and with three hours freetime for shopping, before you meet your guide at the coach for your late afternoon return to Alanya and your hotel.
