Your tour begins with a pickup from your hotel early morning. You will be driven to the airport in Antalya for your flight to Istanbul.
This is classed as a domestic flight and only requires you to be at the airport 1 hour before boarding. The flight lasts just under an hour and will take you to Istanbul Airport.
At the airport, you will be greeted by your English-speaking guide for the day and directed to your coach, ready to head into town and visit the living history of Sultanahmet Square.
You firstly will visit the Sultanahmet area. When you arrive at the Square, the first buildings that greet you will be the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia Mosque.
The Blue Mosque will be your first stop at the Square. Following this, you will visit The Hippodrome and The German Fountain.
Even today, the oval shape of the once Roman/Byzantine Hippodrome can still be seen and is a wonder in its own right. With free time in the Square to walk, relax, enjoy the shops, enjoy lunch and admire the antiquity, you will surely fall in love with this area.
After lunch and free time, you will visit the Topkapi Palace. Today, the palace is a beautiful museum housing artefacts from the Ottoman era.
As you walk through, you will feel the intrigue of past times and visit beautiful rooms where sultans, their wives, concubines and their children once called home.
Next, you will head to the Spice Bazaar. Here, you will understand how Istanbul has its feet on two continents. This ancient Bazaar will tempt you with its aromatic herbs and spices. With some time to explore, you will surely come away with a traditional souvenir.
After around 1.5 hours of free time to shop or drink delicious Turkish Coffee, you will have the Bosphorus Cruise. On the cruise, you can see the city and its incredible skyline from the waters.
At the end of the cruise, you will meet with your guide for the return to the airport and have a flight back to your holiday resort.
