Alanya Demre Myra Kekova Tour Itinerary

Pick-up time from your hotel is around 3:00 AM. You will travel in a fully air-conditioned coach towards the breakfast stop. The restaurant is in Kumluca and has a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea.

Myra Ancient City

Following this brief stop, you will go to Myra, where your guide will give you historical facts about the city and be on hand to answer any questions.

You will have between 45 minutes to 1 hour to wander the old walkways and take holiday pictures of the Roman amphitheatre and Lycian rock tombs.

Sunken City Boat Trip

The itinerary continues with a boat ride to the island of Kekova. Here you will see the remnants of the ancient city of Kekova beneath the transparent waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Boat trip lasts around 1.5 hour and there are multiple swim breaks.

Lunch

The next stop will be a local restaurant. Lunch is a rich buffet with soups, starters, salads, main courses, desserts and fruits. You will surely find something that suits your palate on the spread of the buffet table.

Saint Nicholas Church

Next, it’s time to visit Demre, where Father Christmas lived. You will visit Saint Nicholas Church here, which dates back to the 4th century. The church was constructed using local materials, including limestone and marble. It is a beautiful example of Byzantine architecture. You will have 1 hour time to explore the church.

Your expert guide will be on hand to give you information about the sights and answer any questions you may have.

Then, you will finally return to your transport, begin the journey to Alanya, and reach your hotel at around 8 PM.

Fantastic experience! Highly recommended for all ages and skill levels. Only downside is that tomb steps are not wheelchair accessible. Attractions were delightful and boat trip was both interesting and enjoyable.
