These terms explain who we are, what we do, and what you can expect from us — and what we expect from you. They apply to every booking made through bookfromlocals.com or with our team.
bookfromlocals.com is operated by Eksen Turistik Yatırımlar, a licensed member of TÜRSAB (Association of Turkish Travel Agencies) under the agency name Beşem Turizm, licence No. 4278. Our office is in Marmaris, Türkiye. On partner platforms our listings may appear under our company name, Eksen Touristic Investments — it is the same company.
We are a booking agency. The tours themselves are run by local companies — boat owners, safari camps, balloon operators, dive centres, transfer firms — who hold their own licences and the insurance required of them under Turkish law. We do not sell separate travel insurance, and we recommend having your own travel and health cover, as you would for any holiday activity.
What we do is choose those operators, sell their tours, and stand as your point of contact before, during and after the day. We are not a passive listing site: we select who we work with, we check what they deliver, and we have ended relationships with operators who treated guests badly. If an operator fails to deliver what we sold you, tell us — that is our problem to solve, not yours to absorb.
On price: in Turkey, travellers usually cannot reach these operators directly, and when they can, the price is rarely lower. We work on a small margin — because we book in volume, the price you pay through us is at or very near the operator’s own rate, not the far higher figure that large international booking platforms add on top. That is the whole idea behind the name.
You must be 18 or older to make a booking. If you are booking for a group, you are responsible for the details you give us for everyone in it.
A booking exists when you place it on our website or confirm it with our team. You will receive a confirmation showing your tour, date, pickup details, guests and price.
The price you book at is the price you pay. Once your booking is confirmed, it cannot be increased. If our costs rise, that is ours to manage, not yours.
Only guests included in your booking can join a tour — places, seats and vehicles are reserved by number, and an operator cannot add people at the meeting point. If you would like to bring someone else, tell us before the tour day so it can be arranged and priced properly.
Most tours are paid on the tour day; some require a deposit or full payment in advance. Which applies, how much, and what happens if you cancel are stated on each tour page before you book. How you can pay on the day — cash, card, or both — also varies by operator and is stated on the tour page.

Hotel pickup is included on most tours, from the pickup areas listed on each tour page. Transfers are shared: the vehicle collects guests from several hotels, so pickup times are approximate and the total journey can take longer than the driving time alone. Please be at the meeting point at the stated time — a late guest holds up everyone on the route.
Age limits, minimum heights, health restrictions and rules for children differ from activity to activity and are stated on each tour page. If you are unsure whether a tour suits your family, ask us before you book; we would much rather answer a question than have you find out at the meeting point.
On quads, buggies, jeeps, rafting trips and dives, the guides’ safety instructions must be followed. A guide may stop any participant who is riding or behaving unsafely, and will arrange the safest way for that guest to continue or return.
Guides may never use force, threaten a guest, or leave anyone without transport. If you are treated that way, tell us — we act on it, including ending our relationship with the operator.
Weather, sea conditions, road and site closures, safety decisions and group size can change or cancel a departure. Where that happens, you choose between a full refund and an alternative date. We are responsible for what we sell you: an accurate description of the tour, a confirmed booking at the stated price, a suitable operator, and support when something goes wrong. If the day does not match what our page promised, that is on us.
The operator is responsible for running the tour safely and for the conduct of its own staff and vehicles. We do not control the weather, the traffic, the sea, or the decisions an operator makes for safety reasons on the day.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you.
Write to info@bookfromlocals.com with your voucher number and what happened. Complaints are answered within 48 hours. We keep our booking records and message history, and we read them before we reply.
We read every review we receive and we answer them — including the critical ones. We never offer money, discounts or gifts in exchange for changing or removing a review, and we never ask a guest to take one down.
The words on this site are ours: tour descriptions, itineraries, pricing tables, guidance and page structure are written by our team, and copying them for another business is not permitted.
Some photographs on this site come from third-party sources. If you believe an image here is yours and should not be used, write to info@bookfromlocals.com and we will remove it promptly — no argument, no lawyers needed.
These terms are governed by Turkish law, as our company is established in Türkiye. This does not affect consumer rights you hold under the law of your own country.
