Kos hamam is a 2-hour total relaxing experience with sauna, shock shower, body scrub and foam massage to get your tan ready for your holiday.

Located in the charming Tigaki village, Artemis Hamam is the only traditional hamam in the island. It offers an exceptional experience ritual. This unique and rejuvenating experience involves a sequence of sauna, shock shower, full body scrub and full body foam massage that takes around 50 minutes.

Experienced staff, consisting of around 20 qualified masseuses/masseurs and two professional nail artists are professionally licensed and provide top-quality service and care.

Artemis Hamam Kos is a luxurious haven of relaxation and pampering, constructed on 2000 m2 of land. It contains 2 large and 1 private Hamams, 6 massage rooms, 2 locker rooms for ladies and gentlemen, 2 large saunas, vitamin bar, nail studio, hairdresser, textile & gift shop.

Traditional hamam experience is not only a way to pamper yourself, but it also has numerous health benefits. It can relieve stress, ease muscle tension, balance blood pressure, stimulate circulation, and even help with sinus congestion due to colds, asthma or allergies.

Pick-up

Your Hamam experience begins with a convenient pick-up from anywhere on the island. So whether you’re staying in Kos Town, Tigaki, or any other area, you’ll be transported to hamam without extra cost.

Pick-up times are at the beginning of each hour between 09:00 – 18:00.

Getting Ready

Upon arrival at Hamam, you’ll be greeted by staff who will guide you through the process and explain the various treatments available.

You’ll recieve a locker to store your belongings, and you secure your belongings there. You’ll also recieve a traditional peshtemal to wear during the experience.

Sauna

Your journey to relaxation begins with a sauna session, which will help to soften your skin and prepare it for scrubbing. Sauna is a traditional part of the Hamam ritual. It will open up your pores and help to remove impurities from your skin.

Shock Shower

After sauna, you’ll have to a refreshing shock shower that will help to improve blood circulation, boost the immune system, and provide perfect stress relief.

Shock shower is a vital part of the experience and will help your body and mind relax.

Scrubbing

Highlight of the Kos Hamam experience is scrubbing, which involves a deep skin exfoliation to remove dead skin cells.

Scrubbing is done on a heated marble slab and involves use of a special kese mitt. Kese mitt is made from natural fibers and is designed to remove dead skin cells and leave your skin glowing with health and beautifully soft.

Foam Massage

After the scrubbing, you’ll have a relaxing full-body foam massage that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Foam massage will clean your body and improve blood circulation. Foam is made from a special soap that is mixed with water to create a rich and luxurious lather.

Relaxation

After the Turkish bath ritual, you’ll have the opportunity to relax in the tranquil surroundings of Artemis Hamam Kos. You can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the cozy relaxation area or take a dip in the plunge pool to cool off.

You can also take advantage of the other amenities available, such as the vitamin bar, nail studio, hair dresser, textile & gift shops, and more.

Return

Drivers will drop you back to your hotel / apartment after your Turkish bath treatment.

Who is the experience suitable for?

Hamam is not recommended for very young children, individuals with asthmatic or heart problems, and pregnant women. However, children under 12 are welcome to participate but will not receive any massages and will not stay long in the sauna.

What should I bring with me?

You may wish to bring extra money for additional massages offered at the reception. You also can buy some refreshments during the rest phase.

If you have sensitive skin, you can bring your own soap for the foam massage.

We recommend to bring a change of underwear if you prefer to wear it throughout the Hamam experience. However, most people choose to wear their swimsuits for modesty.

At what time can I join the Hamam experience?

You can join the Hamam experience every hour starting from 09:00 to 18:00. Please note that the pick-up and drop-back service is included in the price.
