Yes, the safety equipment issued to you before you join the river will consist of a helmet and a life jacket.  The buoyancy of the life jacket will mean there is no worry if you cannot swim.  In fact, before the day is through you may well have learned to do so.

Do wear your swimsuit beneath t shirt and shorts.  Appropriate water friendly footwear is also advised (not flipflops that will easily be lost in the water).  Bring sun creams, glasses and a towel, for those swim breaks along the way.

Also bring some money with you for any extras you may wish to purchase at the end of the tour.

If you bring a camera you should keep it an a waterproof container.  Though it should be noted that there will be little or no opportunity to take photographs when you are on the raft.

There will be a professional photographer in tow to take those action shots that you can never catch for yourself, and they would be available to see and or purchase at the end of your tour.

You may also leave your bags on board the bus and retrieve any items for use when you stop.  The bus should be waiting at the half way stop and also at the end of your tour.

We do not recommend you bring valuables such as jewellery along.
