Marmaris Jeep Safari

  Last Updated: July 12, 2024

Marmaris jeep safari is an 8-hour off-road experience in the counryside and the forest. Visit waterfalls, beaches and traditional villages.

What better way to explore the countryside surrounding Marmaris than by a 4×4 Land Rover Jeep that has been modified for touristic purposes?  Feel the wind in your hair and enjoy the breeze as you take a leisurely drive into the mountains and along the Aegean coast.  There really is no better way to keep cool on a hot summer’s day than on Jeep Safari.

You will enjoy visits to the stunning land formation at Kizkumu Beach where the fresh water runs of the mountain meeting the salty sea water.  Here there are silt deposits that have created a walkway out into the sea that at certain times of the day can give the illusion of walking on water.  It is known locally as ‘virgin’ beach as there is a local legend about a young girl caught here by the tide.  Your well versed guide is sure to share this legend with you and more as they accompany on your day out.

You will make stops at local villages where you can witness local life as it carries on around you and you will get to take a dip in the refreshingly cold waters at Turgut Waterfall.  Whilst the waterfall itself is not particularly large you will be amazed at the flora and fauna that is found in this area as you explore under the canopy of the trees that line the water’s edge.

One of the highlights of the day and something that Marmaris Jeep safaris have become renowned for is the water fight.  This is where everyone becomes a big kid as you battle it out between the jeeps to see who can soak the others first.  This is accompanied by some light off road action and really is a great experience!

Marmaris Jeep Safari Itinerary

Your jeep and driver will be waiting in front of your hotel at a pre arranged time between 09:15 and 09:45.  You will take your seats on the modified Land Rover and set off to meet your convoy.  Once the convoy is fully assembled you will head off into the mountains experiencing stunning views of Marmaris below you.

The first adventure of the day is off-road driving with your water fights.  You will travel along the dry dusty roads of a local village with a water gun in hand ready to soak your fellow guests.  Following the water fight you will stop at a local village where you will have ample time to dry off and grab yourself a light refreshment before heading back to the jeep and the next stop of the day.

You will make a slow drive along the coast towards Kizumu beach, flanked to the left by luscious greenery and to the right by turquoise, clear waters.  You will be given some free time at Kizkumu Beach where you can walk on water or take a swim.  There are basic facilities available to you at the beach if you just wish to take a drink in the shade.

As you leave the beach and head once more into the mountains you will be treated to some magnificent panoramas over the coastline.  Your next stop will be Turgut Village and Waterfall.  You will first be served lunch which consists of chicken, fish or meatballs accompanied with Turkish rice and salad. After you are satisfied will have time here to explore and if you are brave enough have a swim in the icy cold mountain waters.

You will then begin your leisurely drive back towards Marmaris and to your accommodation where you will be dropped off feeling tired and in need of a shower.  This is one of the best days out ever and suitable for all the family!
