One of the most unusual and unforgettable experiences to have in Turkey is the Turkish bath experience (Hammam).
Alanya hammam offers a complete relaxation to its visitors. Steam room softens your skin, scrubbing removes the dead body cells, foam massage helps your skin to breathe, and oil massage relaxes the muscles.
With all the massages, hotel transfers, bathrobes, slippers, and towels are also included in the price. If you enjoy the experience, you can stay longer and purchase other types of massage.
Taking a Turkish Bath at the start of your holiday is a great way to achieve a prolonged tan. It will help you wash away all the stress of daily life you left behind and prepares your skin for the sun.
Turkish Bath is an experience not only of the body but of the mind too. You will leave the hammam like you are walking on air, completely relaxed.
Families with children can enjoy the experience together. Please note that oil massage is not applied to children under six.
Once you have changed, it's time to go to the steam room. Sauna is the first part of your Turkish Bath. You will spend approximately 15 minutes in here while the pores of your body open.
As you sweat, all toxins accumulated in your skin are brought to the surface, leaving your skin glowing and ready for scrubbing.
At the end of your sauna, you will go to the centre or 'belly stone' of the Hamam. The belly stone is a smooth marble table where you begin the next stage.
After sweating in the sauna, you will spend another 15 minutes in the steam room and 10 to 15 minutes in the salt room. These procedures will prepare your skin to the next stage - scrubbing.
When it is your time, you will be gently escorted to the slab and take the position for the scrub. Each person is issued a fresh, clean scrub mitt.
Your masseuse will start the scrubbing and remove the dead skin from you, from head to toe. It is one of the most exhilarating feelings as the dead layers of skin are rinsed away, and your skin is left tingling.
After the dead skin cells are gone, your masseuse will prepare the equipment for the foam massage, which cleans your skin.
With what appears to be an oversized pillowcase, the soap produces an amazingly light foam which is then massaged into your body. This process is good for your skin and benefits your cardiovascular system.
After the foam massage, you will go to the waiting area, where you can enjoy a cold drink. Next is oil massage. A full-body massage with different oils applies to your body, lasting approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
After the oil massage, you will be escorted to the changing and locker rooms to dress. Then when you are ready, you will return to the reception area, where your transport will wait to drop you back at your hotel.
With everything the Hamam offers, This experience would be the most relaxing two hours of your life. Hammam in Alanya is open every day throughout the year, and you can book your experience between 09:00 and 20:00.

There are seats and taps with marble basins around the hammam. Cold water taps are there for your comfort and to cool you down from the heat of the hammam.
