Our minibus will take you to the pier, where a comfortable ship will be waiting. We will sail up Manavgat river, visit beautiful beaches and see ancient buildings in the mountains. Further up. We will swim in the clear waters of the canyon, visit dams on the river, with views that are simply indescribable. Lunch at the restaurant by the river (included in the price of the tour) will help you to recharge your batteries. The soft drinks in this tour are unlimited. One of over 300 Turkish Dams, the Oymapinar Dam, or Green Canyon Dam as it is more aptly known, is the fourth highest Dam in Turkey. Over 17 kilometres of beautiful backdrop scenery awaits you on this magical waterway tour. Thanks to the Dam surrounding villages and towns have a guaranteed water supply through the drier months of the year. It has also helped to form a stunning turquoise lake.
With the colours of nature surrounding you, the Dam is an ecologists dream beneath the blue skies, green waters and the Anatolian sunshine, you will feel privileged just to sunbathe as you sail along through the canyon and onto the more open waters of the Oymapinar Lake.
The area provides a habitat to hundreds of interesting species of fish,mammals and birds alike, one of which being the rare Brown Fish Owl that is unfortunately in danger of extinction. Whilst it is rare to spot one of these majestic creatures it may pay off to keep your eyes peeled on the rocks and trees surrounding the lake.

There will be fishing opportunities as well as swimming and sunbathing, so there is a little of something for everyone on this Canyon cruise. Families can enjoy the ambience and shore time, as well as singles or groups.
You should bring with you good sun cream and sun glasses, together with a hat. Your swim suit and towel and also a change of clothes or something to wear over your swim suit, when you stop for lunch.
You may bring your own electronic items such as cameral or mobile phone, but we do suggest that you carry them in a waterproof bag or container to keep them dry. If you do not wish to bring a camera or mobile phone but would still like to have some photographic memorabilia, you may wish to purchase pictures of your most memorable moments cruising the Green Canyon Dam. These are optional extras available for you to purchase, so do bring a little money for these extras.
At around 15:30 the captain will return you to the landing jetty where your transport will be waiting, to return you to your hotel or apartment in the Alanya region, filled with the memory of a day out on the natural green waters of Oymapinar Dam and along the emerald canyon.
