Cappadocia jeep safari is two to three hour off-road experience around the stunning valleys and fairy chimneys.
This is a high adrenalin alternative to explore the lunar like landscape of Cappadocia. The 4×4 all terrain vehicles are the perfect way to travel over the dust paths of the area and you are sure to enjoy the thrill of the wind in your hair as you see all of the famous sites.
The jeeps will pale in size next to the fairy chimneys and large rock formations that this tour allows you to get up close and personal with. You will drive along the dusty trails of the valleys in between the natural land masses, allowing you to see them in ways that would perhaps not otherwise be possible.
There are a number of options available to guests who wish to explore the area in an open topped jeep. You may choose to take a full day exploring or a few hours of the afternoon. You may choose to join the convoy with other guests or you may choose to hire a private vehicle allowing you the privacy of travelling with only your party.
Whatever you choose to do, you are certainly in for a thrilling experience, with a great form of transport accessing paths and trails that the tour buses can’t cope with. You will have a local guide with you and your driver will be a fully trained professional, making sure that you have the ultimate experience on ‘safari’ in Cappadocia.
Please be warned that safari is used for marketing purposes and that no Giraffes, Lions or Tigers will be appearing on this excursion!

You will be collected from your hotel or nearby pick up point at around 09:30 where your driver will introduce themselves before heading off to meet the convoy and other guests. Your guide will be on hand to greet you and give you some basic information about the itinerary and the dos and don’ts of jeep safari in Cappadocia.
Your first stop will be at Pigeon Valley named aptly after the sheer amount of pigeons that live freely in the area. The locals spend many breathtaking hours climbing into the caves where the pigeons nest in order to collect the valuable compost component left behind by the birds.
The following stop will be at Ibrahimpasa. Whilst there are no rock formations in this area, you will be amazed by the authentic stone houses before heading on towards Ortahisar. Here you will find a castle that dominates the village which it once protected. Of course many of the underground tunnels and corridors lead to and from the castle allowing for escape in times of war. From here you will have some breath taking panoramas over the fairy chimneys and the once active volcano that is responsible for the geological wonders found in the region.
The penultimate stop will be at Mustafapaşa Village before moving on to Gomeda Valley which is a fine example of a typical valley here in Cappadocia. You will see some of the most interesting rock formations formed by the ancient volcanic eruption and a millennia of erosion.
You will then head back to your hotel feeling truly accomplished, knowing that you have enjoyed a day out exploring all that Cappadocia has to offer.
Cost of Cappadocia Jeep Safari is 45 € per person for 2 hour tour, 55 € for 3,5 hour tour in 2024.
