Perhaps the ultimate for thrill seekers and sight seers alike is the Pamukkale paragliding experience. From a height of 300 metres you will glide in tandem with your professional quaified guide over the amazing white travertines that look down over Pamukkale. Pamukkale itself means cotton castle and that is exactly how to describe the breathtaking overviews as you gently descend.
Your view will take in the ancient Roman city of Hierapolis, as important in its day as its larger sister city of Ephesus, gliding over the ancient theatre and its vast Necropolis. You will marvel at the ancient structures, some still intact passing over Cleopatra Pool (where the great Queen once stayed) and down over the travertines themselves to the base just outside Pamukkale village.
Viewing the sky blue thermal pools below you, the scenery is magical and unique. The only other place in the world you are likely to see these natural structures is in Yellowstone Park in America. Needless to say these are yellow in colour and not white, as are those formed here in Pamukkale.

Pamukkale Paragliding is not recommended for anyone with heart disease. Nor is it recommended for pregnant women. People who weigh over 100 kgs are not allowed to fly and neither are children under the age of 6. Clearly it is not for anyone who has a fear of heights.
Every day several times a day every day of the week throughout the year. You tell us when you want to go!
For people staying overnight in Pamukkale there is the option of the sunrise flight. Unforgettable in every sense of the word.
You will not be allowed to bring electronic items on the flight. Flight gear will be provided at the base and is included in the price. An extra layer of clothing is advisable for early morning or out of season flights and of course, good footwear.
All pilots in Pamukkale are licenced by the Civil Aviation Academy, each with hundreds of hours of flight times to their credit. Equipment is checked daily in anticipation of flights. You will be taken where the thermals allow the instructors, and once you have gently descended, you will be greeted and taken to your original point of pick up by the awaiting ground team.
