After being picked up from your hotel by air-conditioned minibuses, you head towards Köprülü Canyon. This journey takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours. During the ride, the guide provides you with basic information about rafting, as well as interesting facts about the region’s history, geography, and the formation of Tazı Canyon. It’s not just a transfer – it’s an informative start to your adventure.

When you arrive at the rafting base, you’ll be welcomed by a facility surrounded by pine trees and nature. First, instructors will give you a detailed briefing about safety rules, paddling techniques, and the rafting route. You can place your belongings in lockers, change your clothes, and get ready to enter the river. There are also changing cabins, showers, and a small market for basic needs.

If you want to join these extra adventures, you need to decide during the briefing at the rafting center. The guide will explain all the options. For example, you can go to Tazı Canyon with a Jeep Safari and take photos on the famous cliff edge. For the zipline, you’ll be strapped into a safety harness before heading to the launch point. These activities are planned either before rafting or during breaks between rafting stages.

You reach Tazı Canyon by off-road vehicles (Jeeps), which take you through scenic forest trails with some bumpy sections. At the summit, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking view: the mesmerizing valley seen from the edge of 400-meter-high cliffs. Here, you can take a short hike and capture incredible photos.

The Buggy Safari is done on a special course featuring water crossings and dirt roads. You drive the vehicle yourself, either solo or with a passenger. After a short driving lesson, you join the convoy. No license is required, but you must be over 16 years old. If you’re looking for speed and adventure, this activity is perfect for you.

The zipline is approximately 150 meters long. The team provides you with a safety harness, helmet, and all necessary equipment. During your flight, you’ll enjoy a mix of speed, adrenaline, and scenic views. A staff member checks your gear before each launch, and another team waits for you at the landing area.

Rafting is done in two stages. The first stage is 8 km long and perfect for getting used to the current. It features smooth flows and fun waves. After lunch, the second stage begins – it’s 6 km long and offers a faster pace. This part has noticeably stronger currents and more waves. Your instructor will guide you constantly, but the direction fully depends on your paddling.

After the first rafting stage, lunch is served by the riverside. You can choose grilled chicken or trout, with pasta or bulgur pilaf and a fresh salad. A second serving is available at no extra cost. Drinks are charged separately, but there’s a wide variety of cold beverages. If you like, you can jump back into the river to cool off during this break.

There are lockers available on-site. You can safely store your valuables, phones, and anything else you want to keep dry. It’s recommended to bring a waterproof phone case since you’ll be in constant contact with water during rafting. These types of accessories are also available for purchase at the facility’s market.

Professional teams capture videos and photos throughout the rafting experience. At the end of the day, you can watch these on screens at the facility. If you wish, you can purchase them on a USB stick or in digital format. The high-altitude shots from Tazı Canyon and the zipline action shots are especially popular as visual keepsakes.
