Bodrum Scuba Diving

  Last Updated: July 10, 2024

Bodrum scuba diving is a 5-hour tour both for beginners and experienced divers to discover the rich marine life of the Aegean Sea.

Whether you are a beginner or an accomplished diver, this tour has something for both. It happens that the accomplished, certified divers can give confidence to the first time divers. Where the Bodrum sunshine meets the blue Aegean Sea there can be no more relaxing place to begin your underwater love affair. Diving can be an addictive hobby, why not find out for yourself why, on this dive tour from Bodrum.

What you need to know is that nobody dives alone, at any time. Your dive buddy will be a professional qualified licence holder, who will teach you all you need to know for a first time dive, and then dive with you. When you have mastered the breathing apparatus and are good to go, you too can explore that underwater world of beautiful fish and coral.

The Aegean Sea is home to some fabulous marine life and you will enjoy an insight into this underwater tour that allows you to experience the flora and fauna of the glass like waters as you experience diving equipped with full SCUBA equipment.

This is a great chance to dive as you will find that diving in Turkey is more economical than anywhere else in the world and your chance of a once in a life experience may even turn into several days of your holiday or even a PADI course!

Bodrum Scuba Diving Program

You can go on this excursion any day of the week throughout the summer season. There is usually a pickup time of around 08:30 from your Bodrum hotel, by air conditioned transfer to and from the dive boat. Once you have been picked up from your Bodrum hotel and taken to the harbour at Gumbet, where your dive boat awaits you will receive a warm welcome aboard. There will also be a briefing from your professional dive instructor. This is getting you used to the breathing apparatus and giving you a basic know how of underwater language. This involves a series of unmistakable hand signals that will keep you safe at all times.

Next will come your first dive (of the day) and an experience never to forget. After you have completed your first dive, you may use the time aboard in relaxation, sunbathing or snorkelling.

There will be a basic lunch served on board. Soft drinks will be available from the bar. Please note that alcoholic drinks are available for non divers only until you have completed both of your dives for the day.

For those who have purchased the full day ticket, there will be one more dive to take place after lunch.

There are 4 packages available for you to choose from.

1. Check dive – 1 x 30 minute introductory dive.
2. Certificated dive – 2 x dives for experienced divers.
3. Snorkelling dive, with certificate of achievement.

Upon the boats return to the harbour your friendly transfer driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel feeling content and suitably tired.

Q&A

How much is Bodrum Scuba Diving?

Cost of Bodrum Scuba Diving is 70 € for adults, 45 € for non-diver guests who are over 7 years old, free for children under 7 years old in 2024.

Whilst you are not going to come across Jaws himself you are not likely to encounter sharks. Whilst the Aegean Sea does have some species of shark that live in its waters they are of the small variety and are usually too shy to make an appearance.

What will I actually see?

AS the water is so clear you will have a great visibility beneath the surface. What you see on your dive really does depend as wildlife is obviously unpredictable. You will see many colourful fish and if you are really lucky you may spot an octopus or turtle.
