Side Turkish Bath

  Last Updated: April 18, 2024

Side Turkish Bath includes several types of massage (classic foam and exfoliation massages and oil massages are included).

One of the objectives of the hammam is to make visitors relax, leaving their worries behind the doors of the Turkish bath. You can hardly think of anything else to do except enjoy the massage and the whole atmosphere. A massage with special oils will relax your muscles. The foamy and exfoliating massage will help your skin to become younger and improve its blood circulation. Once booked you don’t need to worry about anything else, as all necessary treatments are already included in the price: hotel transfer, two types of massage, facial mask, tea, sauna and everything you need (soap, slippers, towels). You only need to bring your usual swimming costume. If you enjoy our Turkish bath, you can try other massages. Our car will bring you, rested, back to your hotel.

Not just a wonderful sensuous experience but a tan booster as well.  Small wonder the traditional Turkish bath or Hammam is on most people’s holiday wish list!  Follow in the footsteps of Sultans and their concubines in a bathing experience not to be missed.

The Turkish bath has become a popular method adopted by spas all over the world and there is no wonder to their capabilities of relaxing the body and soul. Historically hammams were used not only to clean the body and relax the mind but also as hubs of social and political activity.

Nowadays they are more frequented by tourists looking to experience the blissful relaxation.

Side Turkish Bath Program

From the moment you are picked up at your hotel or apartment you will know that you have treated yourself to the ultimate relaxation experience.  Your comfortable vehicle will chauffeur you to the Hammam, where the staff will be waiting to begin your pampering service.

On arrival at the Hammam you will be provided with a locker key, slippers, soap, towel, and hammam robe.  A fresh scrub mitt will be used for every individual. It is suggested you wear your swimwear as a gesture of modesty.

Sauna

When you are ready the staff will escort you to the first step of your Hammam experience, the Sauna or Steam Room.  Normally 20 minutes is spent in the Sauna or Steam Room, opening the pores and giving your body a chance to sweat out any impurities, leaving your skin ready for the next stage.

Salt Room

The professional staff will then lead you to the Salt Room where you receive a Salt scrub of your whole body.  This invigorating process will last approximately fifteen to twenty minutes and leave you tingling for the next part of the process.

Belly Stone

You will then be taken to the Belly Stone, or centre of the Hammam, where a heated marble stone is ready for you to receive your relaxing foam massage. Even while you wait, there are marble seats around the Stone where taps of cooling water and authentic Hammam bowls are available for you to cool yourself, until it is your turn.  If there are customers in before you, you will be able to watch the process before it is your turn.

Massages

Once you find yourself on the heated belly stone of the Hammam you will receive a foam massage, that magical process of creating foam from a single bar of soap on what looks like elongated pillow cases.  The gentleness of the foam massage and the caress of the foam pillow case is exquisite and you may even find yourself relaxed enough to doze off.  The foam is then rinsed off using the Hammam bowls, until your body is cleansed and ready for the next stage.

You are normally left to relax a little more if that is even possible, before the oil massage.  If you have to wait a little, you will relax in the waiting area, where ambient music is played, in order to continue your soporific frame of mind.  When it is your time you will be taken to the massage beds, where a nourishing face mask and an oil massage will be applied to your head body and face.  This usually lasts around 20 minutes and is arguably the best part of the Turkish bath experience having been saved for last.

Once this is complete you are led back to the changing room where you have locked away your personal items and clothes.  Here you can get yourself dressed and then out to the reception area where your car will be called to return you to your hotel or apartment.
