If the ancient city of Ephesus has already caught your fancy, but you do not wish to be part of a larger tour group, it is possible to book this as a private tour. The advantages are clear at the start. You may visit whichever sites you prefer at your own pace. You may even decide where you will take lunch in the early afternoon. This is an ideal opportunity to enjoy Ephesus with your family or friends and to see those important sites of this UNESCO World Heritage Site that you may have already circled in a brochure and which may not be covered with a larger group tour.
One of the 7 wonders of the ancient world The Temple Of Apollo, is also available to see along the outskirts of ancient Ephesus. The Temple is in poor condition and considered to be unsafe for tourists to walk among, therefore your driver may take you to view from a distance this ancient wonder.
Ephesus itself has too many wonders of its own, with the archaeological dig of an entire street of houses, to the largest Amphitheatre in the ancient world, with seating for over 20,000 people, your guide will be able to tell you more statistics and show you even more amazing features of this city. And if you ever wondered what a Roman toilet looked like, prepare to be amazed! Not in use today, but you can pay a visit to the public street toilet and no doubt snap those comical clichéd photographs.

Mostly yes. Anyone with mobility difficulties should reconsider before booking this tour. On the other hand, you are already deciding how strenuous or gentle the tour will be. Use discretion if you think it may be a bit too much. Ephesus is only wheelchair friendly part of the way, this should also be considered.
Firstly appropriate footwear is important, for the amount of walking you are expecting to do. Wear a hat where you can, there is very little shade in the city.
Sunglasses and sun cream are a good idea too, and do wear loose comfortable clothing.
Do bring your camera with you for photographs of one of the world’s most unforgettable historical sites.
Bring money for any drinks or souvenirs you may wish to purchase. If you don’t have, or have forgotten your sun hat, there should be a choice for your purchase close to the entry gates.
If you are bringing school age children along with you, make sure to bring their passport (and yours too). Students can sometimes receive discounted entry fees, but only if age verification is proven. A passport can provide this and will not be removed from you at any time.
Also, official authorities can ask to see your passport. In the unlikely event of this happening, it is always best to come prepared and would only be done with the safety of the tourist in mind.
This is your personal tour. If you are unsure of anything just ask and the team will be happy to assist.
