Kusadasi Ephesus full-day tour is a 9-hour day trip to the ancient ruins of Ephesus, Temple of Artemis, House of Virgin Mary and the Isabey Mosque.
Turkey has so many amazing antique sites to visit, wherever you holiday in the country, yet the jewel in its crown has to be Ephesus. With a biblical history, you have probably been hearing the name since you were little. St Paul the apostle, wrote letters to the Ephesians and managed to upset a few local dignitaries here, so much so that he was banned from the city. The second largest city of the Roman empire it was once a truly bustling metropolis to which people came from all over the world. Today it is just the tourists and historians wanting to find out a little more about this amazing site.
Perhaps its most famous inhabitant was the Virgin Mary. Her house was said to have been discovered on the outskirts of Ephesus. Today you can see the footings of a much larger property right next to a small church, which is said to have been her home. Giving truth to the legend is the fact that she was entrusted into the care of St John (The book of Revelation) by no less than Jesus himself. Where legend becomes fact, St John resided at the Basilica on the borders of Ephesus, named for him, and it was there that he is still buried. If it all seems a little bit familiar to you, it would be because the books of the new testament have contained the name Ephesus on many occasions.
