Please trust that there is no such thing as free and the hidden costs (and there will be) can end up costing you much more than an Exclusive or VIP Turkish Bath. The Turkish Bath should always be taken at the start of your holiday, in order to maximise exfoliation and improve on the tanning procedure and longevity. The VIP treatment is offered by professionally qualified staff, with no hard sell for extras. This means that you can comfortably enjoy the experience without worrying when you are going to be hit with extra costs and hidden prices.
A morning or afternoon at the Hamam (Turkish Bath) should be seen as a visit to a spa and with the excellent exchage rate you will be able to do this at just a fraction of the price compared to many countries. Cost of Marmaris Turkish Bath is 25 € for adults, 15 € for children between age 6 and 12, free for children under 5 years old in 2026.
No Turkish Bath treatment is recommended for asthmatic sufferers. There is usually an age limit also. For children under the age of 6 it is not advised and a token Turkish Bath is usually offered for children under the age of 12, which does not include the indepth treatment before mentioned. If you suffer from ill health or are pregnant, you should inform the reception staff on your arrival.
Other than this, the Turkish Bath is a most enjoyable experience for most people, and at a price much more amenable than its European counterparts.
It is recommended that you wear your swimming costume, for modesty, beneath your hamam towel (which will be given to you on arrival). At no time are you expected to remove your swim wear and staff are discrete at all times.
Care should be taken when walking from one room to another as the marble flooring can become a little slippery. Hamam staff will be pleased to assist you in walking through.
For anyone with skin allergies, do tell the reception staff, you will be able to provide your own antiallergenic soap for the masseuse to use, in this instance.
It is highly unlikely, unless you book an exclusive Hamam. You may be with the group of friends you arrive with, or simply follow on from the VIP before you. The Aromatic Oil Massage, which many believe to be the best part of the Hamam, usually takes place in a massage cubicle or room. This can be a family or a single room, as you like.
The VIP Turkish Bath is available every day of the week, at the time of your choice, throughout the opening hours of the Hamam.
Bring some money with you for any refreshments you may wish to purchase in the rest area.
Do not shower or bathe after your Turkish bath experience. The oils are meant to continue working for at least two hours, feel the difference when you eventually wash or shower.
