Antalya Lake Salda & Pamukkale Tour (No Shopping)

  Last Updated: April 18, 2024

Visit two untouched beauties of Turkey with the Antalya Lake Salda & Pamukkale tour. Pamukkale travertines and white sand of Salda Lake are two jewels of this planet.

The snow-white travertine pools filled with clear turquoise water, incredible views of nature, Cleopatra’s hot water pool, the ancient buildings in Hierapolis and the unbelievably white coastlines of Lake Salda will leave an unforgettable impression on you.

White Tour

There are many wondrous sites to visit all over Turkey and around Antalya. This tour combines two of those places, Salda Lake and Pamukkale. Lake Salda & Pamukkale tour should be nicknamed the ‘white tour’ as both places share a stunning scenery dominated by stark whites. This excursion is a chance to combine two unforgettable places imprinted in your memory for years to come.

Salda Lake is a vast lake formed inside a volcanic crater with depths close to 200 metres in parts. Upon visiting the lake, you will think that you have teleported to beaches of Seychelles, as its white beaches are reminiscent of more tropical climates.

The white ‘sands’ are actually due to deposits of hydromagnesite found in the area due to historical volcanic activity. It is thought that the lake’s waters benefit people with some skin ailments and are often visited as a place of healing.

Pamukkale almost needs no explanation, as it is one of the most photographed places in Turkey and is world-famous! You will love the snow-white travertines formed by calcium deposits, and it’s shallow thermal pools. Pamukkale is also the site of the historical city of Hierapolis. Hierapolis is built on thermal waters for its healing properties.

Pamukkale was a spa town and historically attracted visitors from all over, much as it does today! Local legend has it that Cleopatra once bathed in the warm waters of Pamukkale, a pool named after her.
