Antalya Buggy Safari & Rafting Tour

  Last Updated: June 30, 2025

Are you ready to spend a day full of mud, speed and water? First, you will get on buggy vehicles in Köprülü Canyon and speed through dusty forest roads. Then it’s time to go rafting! You will have fun and be in touch with nature as you travel along the river in sparkling waters.

We pick you up from your hotel in the morning and set off towards the canyon. Along the way, your guide gives information about rafting and tells interesting stories about the environment. The excitement will overflow from you before you even start!

When we arrive at the canyon, the instructors welcome you. Staff will inform you about important things like how to hold a paddle and how to sit in the boat. There are also areas where you can change clothes, showers, toilets and a cafe where you can have some snacks.

In the first part of the rafting tour, you go on a river journey of approximately 8 kilometers. The water may seem a little cold at first, but you get used to it in a short time. As you proceed by boat, the high rocks and pine trees around you create a very beautiful view.

Then, you have a meal break by the river. Chicken or fish, pasta or rice and fresh salad await you. If you want, you can go back into the water and cool off or you can sit in the shade and rest. In the second part, rafting becomes even more exciting. The water flows faster, the waves get bigger and everyone fights against the water together. The screams echoing from the canyon are the most exciting moment of the adventure.

At the end of the tour, you return to the starting point with a short vehicle ride. Photos and videos taken during the day are shown on the screen. You have a lot of fun watching yourself. When the tour is over, only one question comes to mind: “When can I do it again?”

Q&A

Where do we go first after being picked up from the hotel in the morning, and how is the journey?

In the morning, we pick you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned minibus. The pickup time depends on where you’re staying—if you’re in Kemer, it’s around 07:20; if you’re near Manavgat, it’s around 09:00. During the drive, your guide shares basic rafting information along with interesting facts about the Taurus Mountains, the river ecosystem, and the history of the region. These insights help you enjoy the tour with a better understanding and appreciation of your surroundings.

What kind of preparation is done before starting the Buggy Safari?

After arriving at the rafting base, you’ll have around 40–50 minutes to get ready. You can change clothes in the changing cabins and store your belongings in a locked locker. If you’re doing the Buggy Safari, you’ll receive your gear such as a helmet and goggles, followed by a short briefing. The instructors explain the driving rules, safety measures, and the difficulty level of the route clearly.

On which track is the Buggy Safari done and how long does it take?

The Buggy Safari lasts around 25–30 minutes and takes place on off-road trails near Köprülü Canyon, including dirt roads, forest paths, and water crossings. You’ll drive through dusty and muddy nature trails under pine trees and through puddles. You’re in full control of the wheel, while instructors lead and follow the convoy to ensure your safety. It’s a fun and adrenaline-filled experience.

What kind of training do we receive before rafting and in which languages is the briefing given?

After the buggy ride, the preparations for rafting begin. The instructors provide detailed explanations about the rafting route, safety rules, and paddling techniques. This briefing is available in English, German, Russian, and Persian. If there are large groups, the instructions are given separately in each language. They clearly explain what to be careful about at different points of the river.

What can we expect during the rafting session?

The first stage of rafting covers about 8 kilometers. The water is refreshingly cold and the current is moderate. As you steer between rocks, you’ll experience both excitement and the beauty of nature. A guide is always on board with you in the raft. There are occasional water fights with other boats, adding a playful and competitive element to the ride.

How many people fit in a raft, and what if we want to use a two-person canoe instead?

The rafts can hold 11 people plus 1 instructor. If you prefer to use a smaller two-person canoe, you need to inform the rafting center upon arrival. Canoeing requires basic physical fitness and balance, since you’re fully in charge of steering. All equipment and life jackets are provided and must be worn for safety.

Where is lunch served and what kind of menu is offered?

After completing the first part of rafting, you head to an open-air riverside restaurant. The menu includes grilled chicken or trout, served with pasta or bulgur pilaf and a fresh green salad. The portions are generous and freshly prepared. If you’d like a second serving, it’s free of charge. Drinks are extra, but you’re welcome to take a dip in the river again during this break.

What can we expect in the second part of the rafting course?

The second section is about 6 kilometers long and features stronger currents and sharper turns compared to the first. The thrill level is higher. Your raft may bump into rocks, and waves may crash over you, but with the instructor’s guidance, you continue safely. The high canyon walls, pine forests, and cool water create an unforgettable atmosphere.

How can we view the photos and videos taken during the tour?

Action cameras and drones capture your rafting adventure, and professional photographers document your most exciting moments. After the tour, you return to the facility where you can watch your footage on large screens. If you wish, you can purchase the photos and videos to take home as a memory of the day.

How is the return trip organized?

Around 16:00, you’ll board the minibus for the return trip to your hotel. The travel time varies depending on your location. For example, if you’re staying in Alanya, you’ll arrive between 17:30 and 19:00. During the high season, there may be traffic, but the vehicles are air-conditioned and comfortable, making the journey relaxing. Along the way, you’ll enjoy scenic views of nature.
