There is an undeniable presence of a great mountain that shadows you through your holiday whether you stay in Hisaronu or Oludeniz. Baba Dag or ‘Father Mountain’ in English is just that presence and quite aptly named as it can give a sense of foreboding but also protection as so many fathers do. This mountain that is easily recognisable form the aeroplane as you arrive in Dalaman is the perfect location for a sunset dinner with a difference!
You will be able to sit down to eat in the restaurant located approximately 1700 metres above sea level, at one with the clouds and as close to the mountain that you could possibly get. Early evening you will be able to spot the paragliders soaring down towards the lagoon and beach at Olu Deniz before you have your breath taken away by the crimson colours of a glorious Turkish Sunset. With the right weather conditions you may also be able to make out the Greek Island of Rhodes rising out of the Mediterranean Sea.
This is the best way to experience the views from the mountain without having to actually jump off it! Whether you are travelling as a single, couple, family or group this is a magical evening out with a chance to witness a fabulous sunset and enjoy exquisite food in the restaurant accompanied by the perfect ambience to experience the moment.
In 2024, price of Fethiye Babadag Sunset Dinner is 30 € for adults, 15 € for children under 12 years old.
This tour is available each evening throughout the summer months. It includes transport in a comfortable luxury vehicle from your hotel or apartment to the restaurant located towards the top of Babadag Mounatain. Please note that there is a small surcharge for guests being picked up from Calis Beach or Fethiye.
Pick up times are 16:30 from Calis Beach and Fethiye, 16:45 from Olu Deniz and 17:00 from Hisaronu and Ovacik. You will arrive at the restaurant in plenty of time to choose from the menu and watch the sunset. The grill and bar menu has a great selection of meals that will appeal to most, fom homemade burgers to steaks and locally caught fish. There are also numerous Tukish Mezes available that would appear to vegetarians or vegans. The bar provides excellent cocktail service and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available to purchase.
You will be collect from the restaurant to return to your accommodation at approximately 20:30.
